Single station + telescopic conveyor
A mid-scale warehouse running variable carton sizes. A semi-automatic machine with a telescopic conveyor at the outfeed loading straight into the truck.
A food warehouse and a hardware dispatch bay do not need the same case sealing line. Here is how carton size, weight and daily volume shift from one industry to the next.
What a case sealing machine has to do is dictated by the box in front of it. Carton size, weight, how often the size changes during a shift and where the line physically sits differ a great deal from one industry to another. Below is what tends to matter in the sectors we are asked about most.
Food packing usually means few carton sizes and very high counts. The same product runs at the same dimensions all day, so the question is not how fast you can change a setting but whether the setting holds through the shift and the machine keeps running. At those volumes a fully automatic carton sealer running 17–25 cases per minute, fed by a roller conveyor, is the sensible pairing. Where floors are washed down often, machine placement and the position of the electrical cabinet need to be settled before installation.
Drums, bottles and multi-packs make cartons heavier than their size suggests. Two things matter with a heavy case: the box must not sag while the tape is pulled, and the machine must keep hold of it as the top flaps close. The taping unit works with 38–50 mm tape as standard; when a single wider strip is preferred, the 50–75 mm BD75 unit is available.
The picture reverses here. Boxes are small, light and varied, and three or four different sizes can go through in one shift. Throughput per minute matters less than how long a changeover takes. Because semi-automatic machines are set by hand, they are the usual fit for warehouses that switch sizes constantly. Cartons down to 140 mm wide are common in this group.
In pharma the expectation is about consistency of appearance: tape laid flat without wrinkles, cut to the same length every time, cartons that look identical on every dispatch. On recorded lines, nobody wants the sealing step to depend on operator habit, and that is one of the most common reasons for moving from semi-automatic to fully automatic.
This is the least predictable environment. Sizes are never fixed and dozens of different boxes pass through in a day. The answer is rarely a single machine and more often a short line: idler roller conveyors before and after the sealer, and a scissor-type telescopic conveyor at the loading door. The telescopic unit extends into the trailer and folds back when loading is done, so the dock keeps its floor space.
Long, densely packed cartons live here. There is no upper limit on length, which starts at 150 mm and goes up from there, but width of 140–500 mm and height of 100–500 mm mark the real boundary of the line. Anything outside that range calls for a custom-built machine.
Whatever the sector, three pieces of information settle the specification: carton dimensions, daily case count and the physical layout of the space. Once those are clear, the right choice among the 14 models becomes obvious, whether that is one of the 8 semi-automatic or 2 fully automatic case sealers, or one of the 4 conveyors. Dimensions and model details are on the products page and in the catalogue.
These are simply the ones that come up most often; other work is approached the same way. Stretch wrapping machines, complete packaging lines and machines built to a customer's own dimensions are handled as projects. Design, sheet metal work, assembly and testing all happen under one roof at the Ümraniye plant, so a custom size does not depend on an outside supplier. There is more about how we work on the company page; send your carton dimensions and daily volume through the contact page and a written quotation goes out the same day.
